On our quest to make your RotaCloud account as intuitive and flexible as possible, we’re excited to introduce our brand new open shifts settings.
Our new admin-busting options automatically stop staff claiming open shifts if they clash with their days off or leave, giving you peace of mind that only certain staff can work them.

Why we built it
Insights from our customers helped us understand the daily, time-consuming struggles of reassigning or even deleting open shifts once they’ve been claimed by the wrong team members. Our goal is to alleviate the planning headache of manually ensuring staff have the correct rest breaks or are compliant with the working time directive by creating a system that does the hard work for you.
How it works
If you’re an admin-level user, head to your account settings by clicking the cog icon in the top right of your screen. Scroll down to your ‘Open Shifts’ section and, if you have it toggled on, you can also enable our new settings. Tick which you’d like to apply, and they’ll automatically be in place for all users on your account.
