Added accuracy and enhanced efficiency for labour forecasting

We’ve given our labour forecasting tool a facelift! Your newly revamped forecasting makes adding in your labour predictions and spending quicker and easier than ever.

At RotaCloud, we understand sticking to your budgets and tracking your success can be a handful. Our new-look forecasting tools allow you to enter your labour forecasting and actual revenue figures directly on your Rotas page. This time-saving tweak also gives more autonomy to your managers allowing for efficient decision making.

What’s new

Your new forecasting options allow for simple, effective planning for you and your managers. New features include:

• Clearly marked rows on your Rotas page for actual revenue and forecasted revenue for instant visibility.
• Ability to add not only actual but also forecasted revenue directly on your Rotas page, eliminating the need for multiple tabs for clicking from page to page.
• Flexibility for managers to enter labour figures for their own locations while maintaining overall account privacy.
• Notifying you when revenue figures are missing via a red dot on your labour forecasting icon ensuring you always have your data in place.

Why we built it

Tracking your costs can be a time consuming process - our goal is to make it as simple and efficient as possible. The ability to add daily figures directly on the Rotas page breaks down the lengthy process of entering a full week or month in your settings page and expanding this capability to managers allows you to plan rotas which are adaptable and dynamic.

How it works

Access to your new forecasting tools is easily accessed on your Rotas page. Simply use your filter menu to ensure you have both costs and labour forecasting enabled and you’ll have instant visibility and your actual revenue (AR) and forecasted revenue (FR) sections.

To edit your labour forecast figures, just click the new bar chart icon at the top of your Rotas page and you can quickly enter both actual and forecasted revenue for each day of the week.

A few quick notes:

• Labour forecasting is part of our Pro package. If you don’t already use Pro, you can sign up for a commitment-free 30 day trial by going to your account settings and selecting Budgets and Forecasting from the left-side menu.
• Only managers who have the ability to edit the rota and have access to wage and salary information can view and edit labour figures ensuring sensitive pay information is still kept private.
